Erich K. Bauch (Redlight Eric) is an avocational historian. He is a member of the Crossroads of Texas Living History Association. This group performs historical reenactments pertaining to the Texas Revolution. Erich has participated in reenactments of the Goliad Massacre and the Battle of San Jacinto. Erich has ancestors who fought in the Texas Revolution and in the Civil War. To honor them and all of the men who fought on both side of the conflicts, Erich strives to be historically accurate in both lecture and reenactments.

Doug Crumly (Snoopy Doyle) is a Pinkerton Detective of dubious renown. He is a member of Crossroads of Texas Living History, San Antonio Living History Association, the Nuecestown Gunfighters, and the Texas Rivera Pistoleros (a Cowboy Action Shooting Club). He has participated in the historical re-enactments of almost all the battles pertaining to the Texas Revolution (Battle at Gonzales, The Fall of the Alamo, the Battle of Refugio, Goliad Massacre, and the Battle of San Jacinto). He as a face with many names, such as Thomas Nolan, Edward Perry, and Incognito. He has the distinct pleasure of surrounding himself with the most courageous and historically educated personas in South Texas. | |
"Patt" Patterson (Stinking Badger) is a computer geek by trade with an interest in Texas and American History. He loves to teach children (and adults) about people who helped shape the history of our country. Patt has portrayed General Sam Houston, Col George W. Hockley, Maj. P. F. Stevens CSA, and sidelines as Stinking Badger (part time bounty hunter, Texas Ranger, and hunter-gatherer for the railroads). | |
Ed Stiles (Gato Loco) is our newest member. At Old Bayview Cemetery, he portrays Jacob Jackson Humphries, a Texas Ranger, who came to Corpus in early 1842. An avid shooter, Ed is active in Cowboy Action Shooting (CAS) with a local club. | |
Joel Smith (Mainspring) is a former Navy P-3C Orion pilot. He is presently a watchmaker and enjoys giving demonstrations on the history of time keeping at local schools. He frequently participates in the Bayview Cemetery Walk and portrays John Uehlinger, one of the cemetery residents. He also enjoys portraying an 1880s Jeweler / Watchmaker, Empresario James Powers of Hewitt-Powers Colony during the Texas Revolution, and shooting in Cowboy Action Shooting (CAS) matches. Joel has a passion for Texas and US History. | |
William W. McClendon (Dusty LawDawg) is an amateur historian with special interests in military, Texas, and history of the American West. He has portrayed characters in Texas history from outlaws to lawmen including Matt Nolan, the first sheriff of Nueces County, Texas to be killed in the line of duty. | |
Tony Silvis (Long Star) and Lynda Silvis (Moonlight Rose) became involved in the reenactment scene in Pennsylvania in 1999 and have continued to do that in South Texas. They have always enjoyed the spirit of the Old West and started portraying lives of different people who made history there. They have portrayed camp followers, soldiers, shopkeepers, teachers, lawmen, outlaws, train robbers, murderers, and those that were murdered, and all sorts of ordinary citizens of the Old West. They strive to be as accurate as possible in their actions and manner of dress. | |
Robert A. Yeager Sr. (Sandt’s Eddy Bob) performs in many of the
major reenactments honoring the Texas Revolution, Texas frontier
history, Civil War, and local history for school programs. His 3rd
great grandfather was a drummer in the American Revolutionary war. From
Harpers Ferry, WV to eastern Pennsylvania, his ancestors fought on both
sides of the Civil War, the War of 1812, WWI, and WWII. As a member of
the South Texas Historians, he is proud to portray patriotic men such as
Sandt's Eddy Bob, Col. James Fannin, Felix Von Blucher, W W Wright, Dick
Gossett, Mexican Soldado, and a Texian soldier.
